we require experienced apprentice trained Plant engineers where pride in the job & quality and customer service delivery is paramount.
The successful plant engineer will be reporting to the Workshop Controller the successful candidate will be workshop based and experienced in plant equipment repairs & servicing to manufactures specifications.
Heavy plant workshop engineer duties will consist of
• Working in the Leeds workshop to perform repairs, servicing and overhauls on diesel engines and general plant equipment(Experience on OEM plant equipment very beneficial komatsu, JCB Terex Cat etc). This will involve the use of laptop diagnostic equipment as well as traditional tools
• the successful plant engineer Accurate completion of time sheets on a daily basis.
• the ideal plant engineer must achieve the quality, H&S & Environmental objectives.
• Communications to the workshop controller on all problems to enable effective resolution.
• as the plant engineer you will be supporting and assisting the Workshop Controller with all engineering activities
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a sense of pride in the job.
• Enthusiasm & attitude are key -these guys must be able to work on their own initiative.
• Excellent Mechanic with both electrical and electronic capability but mainly mechanical .
• Must understand engines, transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• 5 years relevant plant experience is required.
• CAT, Volvo, Komatsu or a heavy plant engineering apprenticeship is very desirable however a full mechanical engineering apprenticeship is essential.
Suitable candidates will have interviews arranged in the Leeds workshop.
