We are seeking a degree qualified engineer to manage our Technical Services Department. You will have experience of the production of press tools in a Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement environment. You will have good leadership and mentoring skills and be able to demonstrate sound, technical experience. Possessing good problem-solving skills, you will be able to identify and implement appropriate production methods. You will have budgetary and purchasing experience and ideally have 3D CAD experience.

You will be responsible for coordinating all resources within the department to ensure that all work is carried out on time, to the required quality and at the lowest cost, ensuring all activity is carried out in line with the company’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures. You will develop and mentor staff into a multi-skilled team, which provides the business with a flexible and motivated workforce. You will compile and maintain reports on departmental performance and activity and report on these to the Directors as required. You will ensure that department resources are deployed as efficiently as possible.
