Details and Experiance Required

On a daily basis, the successful CNC Grinder will be responsible for a number of tasks. These include but are not limited to:
* Manufacturing compressor parts to engineering drawings and specifications, usually in batch sizes of 1 to 6 off

* Working predominantly in steel

* Adhering to all relevant instructions contained within Work Standard Instructions (WSI’s) in the manufacturing of Compressor parts

* Conform to all aspects of the company's Quality Management system including the fulfilment of all relevant procedures including all Standard Practise Instructions (SPI’s)

* Delivering quality components in a timely manner whilst contributing to efficient and effective manufacturing principles

* Contributing and complying with accurate collation of Shop Floor Documentation information including data contained within the companies Shop Floor Documentation Collection system (SFDC)

* Providing training support for apprentices and work colleagues

* Interacting and responding to all aspects of Lean Manufacturing, supporting cost reduction, efficiency, delivery and Quality improvements

* Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards in compliance with company policy to ensure safe working environment

Ideally CNC Grinders will:

* Be experienced in External surface grinding
* Have the ability to edit in Siemens 810. Although any programming skills and advantage.
* Be able to interpret and work to Engineering drawings and tolerances.
* Have the ability to undertake a diverse range of work on a daily basis.
* Have Lifting and Slinging certification.
* Have general Environmental Health and Safety awareness.
* Have previous experience of Precision Manufacture.
* Be able to adapt to business requirements by being flexible within the workplace
* Have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Skills.
* Be able to work unsupervised.

This is a permanent role for the successful CNC Grinder, with a salary dependent on previous experience and skills, and a shift allowance given on top of the basic hourly rate.
