Our client is a world recognised brand and due to continued growth they urgently require an experienced shore based Service Controller involved with the maintenance and repair of Diesel Engines, Generators and heavy plant.
Working primarily in the Aberdeen power generation sector, the Service Controller will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service, efficiently and effectively (customer value), which improves customer loyalty for our client
Main Duties
• Understand and respond to customer requests, assessing and prioritising their need and identifying the actions to take place with agreed timescales.
• Allocate the most appropriate resources to address the customers’ need.
• Keep customers fully informed of job progress at all times, ensuring promises are kept.
• Open and close work orders accurately and consistently to maximise billing accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify and exploit opportunities to address safety reworks, priority reworks and PM servicing at the same time as the repairs.
• Keep all systems up-to-date at all stages with accurate job information.
• Awareness of health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure safe and ISO compliant operations on site.
• Maximise customer revenue for service.Control expenses for service.
Skills
• Mobile plant product knowledge.
• Vehicle systems knowledge (engine, transmission, , hydraulics and electronic controls).
• Apprentice-trained engineer with 5 years experience.
• Customer contact experience
• Planned and organised major repair work.
• Problem diagnostic experience in terms of both customer and engineer.
• Customer Service skills.
• Ability to develop strong customer relations.
• Planning and Organising skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Influencing and Negotiation skills.
• Proactive communication skills.
• Good IT Skills, specifically in Microsoft Office.Team player.
This is a shore based role and would suit a service engineer looking to move away from the hectic schedule of offshore and onshore field service work.
