A leading name with the aerospace sector they design, manufacture and repair Jet engines. We require a Production manager to co-ordinate production and maintain targets and QA standards
Your duties will include
• Agreed objective and performance standards targets within Production and review progress as required
• Ensure all functions achieve agreed quality standards and deadlines in line with customer, OEM and Company requirements
• Maintain cost effective resource levels and ensure all staff recruited meet the required
• specification
• Motivate teams to achieve optimum levels of performance, paying particular attention to Promised Delivery Dates (PDD) and Turn Times
• Monitor Production financial expenditure in order to achieve agreed savings and targets.
Liaise with the Head of Customer Support Services to ensure customer requirements are being met.
• Ensure that processes and procedures are in place to ensure all functions operate efficiently, to the required quality standards.
• As a member of the Management Team, contribute to company strategy and identify opportunities for company performance improvement.
• Ensure that team and individual development needs are identified in each function and training action plans are implemented.
• Develop appropriate channels of communication within and across functions to facilitate effective team working.
• Ensure that all necessary facilities and equipment are available and serviceable.
• Identify opportunities for improvement processes, in working practices and team efficiency with the Production arena.
• Employee must be aware of, and adhere to, the Company’s Confidentiality Protection and IT Security Policies.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all internal departments and attend meetings if requested, when department representation is required.
• Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder. Training and development will be identified and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness.
• Act in accordance with the duties and responsibilities stipulated in the Quality Manual and the JAR/FAR 145 Management Organisation Exposition.
• Compliance with statutory requirements and regulations and Company procedures.
