We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join a successfully, and rapidly expanding team within a company who are the world leader in their field of push fit fittings, pipe and plastic plumbing systems.

This job role is in place to provide technical support for the Production Engineering department's role in prototype, verification and validation builds and problem solving of components that are in production.

The minimum level of qualification for the ideal Production Engineer is an ONC in a relevant engineering discipline, or a recognised Apprenticeship.

The ideal Production Engineer will have 3-4 years relevant experience, including problem solving. Candidates who have been working in similar backgrounds, from process engineering or development engineering would have transferable skills for this role.

Previous industry experience would be advantageous, but experience in fields such as press tooling or injection moulding would be considered also.

The successful Production Engineer will be working closely with the Senior production Engineer ans will be responsible for:

* planning work effectively in order to meet completion dates as detailed
* investigating and recommending practical solutions to Production Process Concerns raised during production
* verifying all products and tooling
* assisting Project Engineers with pre-production process flow charts
* Carrying out prototype, verification and validation builds
* Setting and operating ultrasonic welders, component tests, assembly fixtures and assembly aids
* inspecting tooling and components using authorised calibrated gauges and equipment as necessary
* assembling plastic components to the requirements of the build specification and be capable of working to BS308 drawing standards
* operating all machines and processes in accordance with accepted and documented procedures
* carrying out routine departmental duties, including maintenance of departmental records, dealing with telephone enquiries, attending and chairing meetings
* liaising with external customers
* complying with all current work instructions operable within the organisation
* complying fully with all current Health and Safety regulations in operation within the Company

This is a permanent position with an immediate start for the successful Production Engineer.
