We are currently recruiting for an experienced Liaison Engineer who has experience in Industrial Mining equipment. The successful Liaison Engineer will be part of a team who are working for an organisation who are a global leader in the development, manufacture, distribution and service of underground mining machinery for the extraction of coal and other bedded materials.
The daily tasks and responsibilities for the successful Liaison Engineer include but are not limited to:
* Daily discussion of issues with mine staff over last 24 hours, including plant performance.
* Developing resolutions following consultation with base.
* Monitoring spares stocks and usages at each mine.
* Liaison with Field service engineers on issues and resolution.
* Coordination & prioritization of actions at each mine – Inc. Service Engineer allocation when appropriate.
* Identify revenue stream opportunities (Up sell) & promote sales.
* Liaising with technical staff to detail problems and id potential resolutions.
* Complete works order documentation.
The successful Liaison Engineer will require:
* Underground current mining equipment experience (sales, parts & service).
* Sales and service experience.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Must be resilient (thick skinned) – will take flack from the mine staff!
* UNDERGROUND EXPERIENCE IS IMPERATIF
This is a permanent role for the successful Liaison Engineer, with salary dependent upon experience.
The area covered by the successful Liaison Engineer is: South Wales (Unity, Abergerguwm & Margam mines)
