Our clients who specialise in the automotive sector are now looking for dynamic and customer orientated field engineers who can deliver a quality service of which is paramount.
Reporting directly to the clients Regional Service Manager the successful candidate will ideally be experienced in automotive vehicle repairs preferably in a passenger transport environment. You will be responsible for assisting the client’s customers with the initial receipt of new vehicles, commissioning fit for service and subsequently supporting customers with repairs and problem resolution throughout the vehicle in operational service.
The following skills/attributes will be required;
Must be an excellent communicator, personable & create a good impression.
Enthusiasm & attitude are key - must be able to work on their own initiative.
Bus chassis experience is preferred.
Previous Technician role with an automotive background is required (PSV environment is preferred but will accept strong candidates with relative HGV chassis experience )
Electrical / electronic bias with strong mechanical capability or
Mechanical bias with strong electrical / electronic capability.
Full driving license.
Experience in quality issues resolution, both on Chassis & Body issues and customer new vehicle commissioning, warranty repairs and customer repairs / breakdown assistance.
Will Involve the use of laptop diagnostic equipment from OE suppliers (e.g. Cummins, Voith, Actia, etc)
Customer liaison on all quality issues spares availability and general PSV maintenance / service issues & bulletins. Attend service meetings as required.
Efficient processing of all relevant service documentation per procedures.
You will be working from home so you will be required to work under your own initiative to effectively plan workload & material requirements to expedite efficient & effective vehicle repairs to customer satisfaction.
