We currently require a dimensional inspector for an intial 3 month contract you will need a minimum of 3 years experience in an inspector (measurement of parts to drawing) role
Plus the following:
• Must be conversant with CMM equipment.
• Must be conversant with standard measuring equipment (micrometers & verniers, etc) – all measurements are metric.
• Must be able to read engineering drawings with geometric tolerances.
• Knowledge & use of Faro arm equipment (a real big advantage).
• Basic mech B. Tec qualification / C&G / NVQ.
• Knowledge of a pressings environment & components an advantage.
• Team player & able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment.
• Must be Microsoft conversant (excel & word) – for report writing.
• Measure new components against their relative engineering drawing to ensure component meets dimensional specification (within tolerance).
• Completing initial inspection reports (ISAR’s).
• Identifying faulty components (errors to drawing).
• Identify correct methodology & equipment for conducting measurements for measurement (appropriate tools for role).
• Assist & be part of the new product launch team (timing plans etc).
