CNC Programmer / Production Engineers must have experience working in a similar, High value – low volume environment and have a methodical and organised approach to work with high attention to detail and comfortable working to tight deadlines as well as being comfortable working using own initiative when required.
Duties include:
* Provide input, as a member of the Production Planning Department, to the design process of components and products to ensure cost-effective production, assembly and testing of these new designs.
* Significant involvement in CNC programming, using the company’s current CAM system.
* Create CNC programmes, using Pathtrace Edgecam, for new projects and develop programmes for existing jobs.
* Identify and co-ordinate the manufacture of Tools & Test Equipment requirements for new designs.
* Support the bid process – estimating manufacturing cost for new components and assemblies.
* Create methods and process plans for new components
* Monitor and refine production processes to improve productivity.
This is a permanent position for the successful CNC Programmer / Production Engineer.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer / Production Engineer who is ideally educated to HNC level or equivalent in Mechanical engineering and has a proven understanding and track record of using CAM systems, preferably Edgecam whilst possessing a detailed knowledge of CNC processes.
