We are currently recruiting for an experience Applications Engineer who has experience of working with diesel engines. We are looking for the successful Applications Engineer to join a growing UK team based in West Sussex. The role is mainly working in an office based environment but there may be travel required both within the UK and further afield.

Ideally, the successful Applications Engineer will have an industry recognised, relevant qualification such as a Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience of diesel engines in the marine or power generation sectors will be looked upon favourably. The successful Applications Engineer must be able to read engineering drawings, and should have experience in the use of CAD. The ideal candidate must be good with numbers, be a competent communicator, both written and spoken, be based within an easy commute of the East Grinstead area and hold a full, clean UK Driving Licence.

The successful Applications Engineer will be required to assist the Account Managers with complex bid preparation and execution, as well as assisting with defining customers technical requirements.

The attendance at customer and project meetings is also required, as well as the preparation of presentations and technical updates.

The successful Applications Engineer will provide the Workshop with detailed work instructions to support engine sales and provide technical assistance to customers, operators and sales / after-sales department.

The providing of a service to OEM's to ensure a successful integration of products into their systems would also be required.

Application Engineers must undertake special duties and projects as required, lead resolution of technical sales issues, and lead the development of new technical solutions to support the sales team.

The successful Applications Engineer must also support the continual improvement of technical competence to support sales of the company's products as well as supporting the continual improvement of related company processes.

This is a permanent position for the successful Applications Engineer where they will be responsible for working out the modifications of a variety of engines to ensure they fit into the customers requirements.
